Childrenslit.com --- Another excellent site.  Here you will find teaching ideas, author links, news--a useful comprehensive site.  For now skip the offer of a “30 day free trial” and explore all the other information the site has to offer. 

Children’s Literature Web Guide This is one of the most comprehensive sites for children’s literature with excellent author information and links to resources for classroom use, reader’s theatre, and the like.  Be sure to take a look at the “Web-Traveller’s Toolkit:  Essential Kid Lit Websites.”  The site is created and maintained by David K. Brown, Director of the Doucette Library of Teaching Resources at the University of Calgary

Fairrosa Cyber Library of Children's Literature   Resources for educators and students of children's literature. The Fairrosa site has information on authors and illustrators, book lists, dragons, and more! Be sure to check this one out.

King Award List   Look here for a list of the King award winners.  Also a great chart that gives reading level for each winner.

Victorian Book Illustration gives some interesting information on the development of the book -- slow to load but of value if you want to explore the history of books and illustrations in the 1800s.

The Real Mother Goose -- The complete book with Blanche Fisher Wright's original illustrations.  A real find!

Little Bo Peep -- An e-text of the familiar rhyme with illustrations and music

The Mother Goose Pages -- a variety of resources including coloring pages and full text for rhymes including some of the more unusual one.

Online Poetry Classroom -- a great resource for ideas about teaching poetry in the elementary classroom!
