September 14 TDC & 15 RDC: Finalize Resume--Anyone absent will need to submit their final draft by Wednesday, September 21 Technology Drive Campus (TDC) or Thursday, September 22 Roberts Drive Campus (RDC). Any resume submitted after these dates will receive a reduction in grade.
September 19 TDC & 20 RDC: Pretest and discussion on teamwork skills. PowerPoint presentation included on this page. The PowerPoint and pretest will be used in preparation for the test over teamwork. The test will be given after completion of the teamwork project.
September 21 TDC & 22 RDC: Start of teamwork project--Water bottle rockets and launcher. Each class will build a rocket launcher. Then students will be broken into teams to create water bottle rockets. The following site provides several links of information concerning building water bottle rockets. Materials for the launchers will be provided. Students will need to provide their own materials for the rockets. Criteria and limitations in the creation of the rockets will be discussed next week along with the grading criteria.

The project will be worth at least 100 pts. and there will be a test over the concepts after the completion of the project. The combination of these two items will be 25% of the final grade for the course. If you do not show to help in the project, there will be a major deduction in your grade for this portion of the course.
September 26 TDC & 27 RDC: Continue with construction of rocket launchers. Distribute handout of Rocket Score Sheet, Rocket Regulations, & Teamwork Rubric.
September 28 TDC & 29 RDC: Continue with construction of rocket launchers. Roberts Drive was able to test the launcher.
October 3-7 Fall Break
October 10 TDC & 11 RDC: Begin construction of water bottle rockets. Teams should review handout of Rocket Score Sheet and Rocket Regulations before constructing rockets. Each team will construct two rockets meeting regulation guidelines. Rockets need to be ready for launch on October 17 for TDC and October 18 for RDC. Any team not completing their rockets during class the week of October 10 will need to work outside of class in order to be ready for launch dates.
October 12 TDC & October 13 RDC: Continue rocket construction.
October 17 TDC & October 18 RDC: Launch days!!!
October 19 TDC & October 20 RDC: Review teamwork material for test.
October 24 TDC: Teamwork Post-Test

October 27 RDC: No class--Professional Development day--students will be responsible to have a draft cover letter written by Tuesday, November 1.
October 31 TDC & November 1 RDC: Review first draft of cover letters individually; revisions due Wednesday, November 2 @ TDC and Thursday, November 3 @ RDC.
November 2 TDC & November 3 RDC: Review second draft of cover letters; final draft due Monday, November 7 TDC and Tuesday, November 8 RDC.
November 7 TDC & November 8 RDC: Complete final draft of cover letters and turn in for grade.
November 9 TDC: Class will not meet due to an instructor meeting in Versailles--class will meet instead on Friday, November 11.

November 14 TDC & November 15 RDC: Discuss completion of employment applications; practice completing an employment application in class; distribute copy of applications to be completed and returned 11/16 TDC and 11/17 RDC for grade as well as application scoring guide; discussion of reference page; typed reference page of three professional references including name, title, company, address, and telephone number to be turned in 11/16 TDC and 11/17 RDC.
