Classes Taught:

 

BA 200 – Small Business Management

Students are introduced to the many facets of establishing, operating, and owning a small business. Topics include: legal forms of ownership, finance, accounting, insurance, governmental regulations and assistance, economics, marketing, and management principles.

 

BA 201 – Fundamentals of Accounting I

An introduction to accounting terminology and general theoretical principles. Major focus is on the accounting cycle and communication of financial information

 

BA 202 – Fundamentals of Accounting II

Accounting methods and concepts are expanded to include accounting for partnerships and corporations. Accounting analysis and decision making tools are used to project growth and stability.

Syllabus

 

BA 279 – Computerized Accounting

Accounting concepts and principles are applied using the computerized accounting system of Quik Books. Students will learn to manage the complete financial system of a small business from payroll, taxes, to accounts receivables and payables.

 

BA 285 - Problems in Marketing and Management

Current issues in marketing and management are examined and business problems are analyzed.

 

BA 299 - Directed Research

Directed research to set up the accounting system for Federated Charities on Quick Books.

Syllabus

 

QMS 101 – Introduction to Quality Management Systems

Introduction to fundamental concepts, principles, and practices used to improve quality in organizations. Need for organizational change is reviewed and the paradigms of quality are introduced. An overview of methods of quality planning and implementation of quality policies are provided. Students will practice problem-solving techniques, make decisions based on quantitative data, work in teams, and demonstrate knowledge of implementing continuous improvement processes.
