Adding Variety by combing simple sentence elements

Multiple subjects:

Here is our example: The baby and her mom were laughing. [(S + S) + V]

Take the following simple sentences and combine them by making compound subjects as in the example.

1) John is a friend of mine. Bill is a friend of mine.

2) Mary came to visit  me in the hospital. Sue came to visit me in the hospital.

_______________________________________________________________________

3) The little boy wanted some candy. The big girl wanted some candy. The girl's sister wanted some candy.

_______________________________________________________________________

 

Multiple verbs:

Here is our example: The baby was laughing and giggling. [S + (V + V)]

4) John was crying. John was yelling at everyone who walked by.

_______________________________________________________________________

Multiple objects:

Here is our example: The baby crawled down the hall and into the kitchen. [S + V + (O + O)]

5) When the game was over, John walked with Mary through the gates. They walked to their car. 

________________________________________________________________________

Multiple subjects and verbs:

Here is our example: The girl and the boy walked and laughed through the store. [(S + S) + (V + V) + O]

6) John was going out to eat and then dancing.. Mary was going out to eat and then dancing. They were going out to eat and dancing together.
