ENGLISH 101 Final Exam

The exam will cover the following:

1) The Structure of Writing: the essay, the paragraph, the sentence, and the word.

    You will have to answer questions that deal with why structure is necessary to compensate for a lack of context when compared to spoken communication.

2) Sentence Combining

    You will be given a list of simple sentences that you will combine into more complex sentences.

3) Writing About Writing

    You will read a short passage from a text and then write about it and illustrate your statements with quotes from that text.

4) Punctuation

    You will do a matching, true & false, and fill in the blank type test that will correspond to the USAGE lessons.
