English 102 Calendar: Week two

You should have read at least the first ten chapters of The Girl. This is not a long novel nor is it a complex novel. But you should begin immediately to take notes, notes that will help you for the two assignments connected with it: the library log and the literary paper. What kind of notes should you take? You should have a list of every character and make note of the relationship that each main character has with other main characters. You should note special events that take place so that you can easily refer back to them. You should note any "theme" ( an idea that the author seems to be trying to promote) that characters or events point to.
