Tues. 8/19/08 Transferred into this class. Mr. Napora let me stay. He spoke about the things we would be required to do.

Thur. 8/21/08 Signed up for Thursday Lab. Went over some stories and meta-stories.

Tues. 8/26/08 We discussed the two stories “Thick Sliced Bologna” and “Are You Chicken?” Told us the assignments for
Thursday and next Tuesday.

Thur. 8/28/08 Went over Roy’s story “The One Who Flies.” Gave us our assignment for Tuesday in case he wasn’t here - Jury
Duty Discussed some stories from Voices Electric.

Tues. 9/2/08 We worked on cartoon story. Showed us that a story has an introduction, body, & conclusion.

Thur. 9/4/08 Mr. Napora had a case of poison ivy, and had to go to the doctor. Class only 15 minutes. Told us to finish up
Exercise 1 & 2. We are to meet in the library on Tues.

Tues. 9/9/08 Mr. Napora had jury duty, and go to library to work on Library Review.

Thus. 9/11/08 Met in library to work on Library Review.

Tues. 9/16/08 Answering questions of Library Review. Exercise due next week - 5 weeks.

Thur. 9/18/08 Do six sentences - small dialog. Indent speech -new paragraph.

Tues. 9/23/08 Classroom COLD. Talked about dialog. Exercise 4 next week. Exercise 5 - 31/2 weeks to go. Finish Library
Review. Use absolutes.

Thus.9/25/08 Mr. Napora had jury duty. No class.

Tues. 9/30/08 Mid term will be first four stories. Talked about how to use dialog, and quotes.

Thur. 10/2/08 Explaining where to put dialog. Talked about illustration paper.

Tues. 10/7/08 Handed back some papers. Start theme six on Thur.

Tues. 10/9/08 Went over “Writing Fundamentals.” He was happy we were still all there.

Week of 10/13/08 No school. Fall break.
