4. Edit and revise written work
Course Objective Lab 092: This lab is designed to improve students' word processing, editing, and revising skills.
Course Requirements ENC 091: Approximately six full papers, daily editing exercises, daily writing exercises, and text assignments. You must turn in all papers, 80% of the daily assignments and 80% of the editing exercises to pass this class. You must also pass one of four proficiency exams.
Grading Criteria Lab 092: This course is graded on a pass/fail basis. In order to pass this class, you must attend lab and complete 80% of the daily writing and PLATO with 80% accuracy.
Make-up Work Policy: All work will receive credit when turned in at due date. Bookwork must be made up. Although I will smile fondly at you and the make-up work will enhance your understanding of the coursework, the fact remains that homework is expected when it is due.
Attendance Policy: None, but the course is structured so that to pass you must attend class. Do the math: You have 16 weeks, two classes per week, you must do 80% of the daily assignments, and you must attend to get the daily grades. For you non-math types, if you miss more than 4 classes, you are in danger of failing. After all, life goes on even if you are not participating.
Grading Criteria: Essays are 100 points. You must turn in all papers, and you must receive at least 70 points on four of the papers. Daily assignments, writings, and Daily Oral Exercises are worth 10 points. Quizzes are worth 10 points, and tests are worth 100 points.
